Location. Offering waterfront views, the Sarasota Hotel and Marina is situated adjacent to Sarasota Bay and Marina (Fla.). The hotel is one mile from the University of South Florida at Sarasota and five miles from downtown. Guests are seven miles from the Gulf beaches and 12 miles from Manatee Convention Center. Air travelers are less than three miles from Sarasota Bradenton Airport. Complimentary shuttle service is available.
Hotel Features. Latitudes Waterfront Restaurant offers casual cuisine. A waterfront tiki bar overlooks the marina and pool. Specialized event catering is available as well as 10,000 square feet of meeting space. Wireless and high speed Internet access is provided. Situated on an inlet dock of Bowlees Creek Cove, the hotel can arrange activities including deep sea fishing, scuba diving and jet skiing. A fitness center and heated outdoor pool are on site and guests receive complimentary passes to a nearby gym.
Guestrooms.
Guestrooms are located along the marina in two story buildings with exterior and interior corridors. Views of the city or marina are offered. Rooms feature desks with adjustable chairs and showers with massaging jets. Other amenities include wireless Internet access, complimentary newspapers and cable television.
Expert Tip. The property boasts a 78 slip marina just ten minutes from the Gulf of Mexico. As an added convenience, gas is available as well as a pump out station.
Renovation Notice:
The hotel is currently undergoing renovations to select existing guestrooms and the expansion from five to 35 acres that will include an additional building and condominium units. The estimated completion date is January 1, 2012. This date is subject to change.
